  • Centrafuse 3.5 account, Garmin Mobile PC with receiver for sale

Getting rid of my car PC because my new car doesn't really give me the setup I need to put a double-din screen in. So I'm getting rid of centrafuse as well. PM me if you're interested in buying my account which includes 3 licenses (all have been reset) and Navigation for North America. $129 value! I also have Garmin Mobile PC with 20x GPS receiver if anyone is interested in that as well. Thanks.

Just a head's up to potential buyers: CF licenses are non-transferable, as noted in the End User License Agreement.

      Do you work for Centrafuse?

He does not, however he knows CF better than most people, so he's probably right. Which means if CF gets wind that the licenses got transfered, they'll likely invalidate them.

As a matter of fact, I do work for Centrafuse. Your account and personal information is tied to the email address you used to register with Centrafuse.com. So there's no way to "transfer" that account information to another person. And since version 3.5 of Centrafuse is no longer supported, the value of such a transfer is somewhat diminished.

No sweat. All part of a general re-structuring at Centrafuse. At least now, when I complain about a problem with CF, I know who to blame.

Well, whatever, the software is so crappy its no surprise that no one is messaging me for it. I barely used it either because it was so slow. It doesn't run any faster on my quad core 3.8ghz desktop than it did on the atom. Most plugins never worked right either. The free front-ends worked better and faster.

You'd have better luck selling it if you didn't trash talk it you know...

Well if I can't sell it, it doesn't matter really. The Garmin worked good for me I'll tell ya that, though they no longer support updates. But I'm sure the receiver can be used for other purposes.

TweakEn, my research shows that you can't transfer your license to someone else, but David (Veetid) has stated before that clearing your activations and letting someone else use your license is ok. I guess this could be considered subleasing in a way. So feel free to sell it considering the fact that you can't actually transfer the license. (Unless someone else comes along and corrects me)

we told you that we would clear your activations and you could allow someone else to activate and use your software, but we cannot officially transfer it because we do not have the system or resources in place...

all of your examples like Microsoft are mute points, can you call Microsoft and email Microsoft directly for FREE support?? Try to sell your XP/Vista to a friend and see if when he calls Microsoft if they will help him with all his problems without first getting his credit card on the phone...

the only point here was anyone other than the person who purchased the software, CURRENTLY, getting support directly from Flux.... We told you someone could easily get support from our forums...

I think this is fair and we will we work to add the ability to transfer as we grow...

we are providing updates, phone support (free phone support is a HUGE thing us us to still offer), forum support talking directly to the developers, and email support...

constantly taking feedback from customers and improving the product, and fixing customer issues...

                        I hope you understand...

Please show me in the CentraFuse 3.5 EULA where this is prohibited. All I could find was this clause:

                          Assignment.
Licensee may not assign or transfer its rights and obligations under this Agreement without registration with Centrafuse and, unless the transfer is registered with Centrafuse, any purported assignment or transfer shall be null and void.
Sounds to me like the license is fully transferable once the transfer is registered with centrafuse.

                          Also found this:
Licensee may not modify, adapt, translate, rent, or sublicense (including offering the Software to third parties on an applications service provider or time-sharing basis), assign, give away, loan, resell for profit, or distribute the Software, the Media, or related materials or create derivative works based upon the Software or any part thereof.
But this seems to concern only the software itself and not the licensing or usage rights of the software or license. Seems a bit confusing to me.
