How about some more information? LCD type? Controller type? Age? VGA? Composite? Brightness?

            MP3goose,

The data specs says the LQ10D131 is 12 bit color (4096 colors).

            Am I missing something?

Hrmm, I dunno. I always ran it at 16bit and video looked nice, no way it could have been 12bit.

                Hi Goose,
I bet the controller you have was pretty good before it was fried. This is a 12 bit LCD but with a good controller you get color correction and extrapolation and can get 16 bit color quality, or at least very close.

If someone can get the controller working again it's a heck of a deal. In fact it's a steal at this price.

                Good luck,

                Pigseye

                    A few questions
How much would shipping be to the UK?
Any more info on the controller?
When you say 'take it to get it fixed', where do you mean?

                    Cheers

                      HI Bradf0rd,
Unless your an electronic's guy or have a friend who is one, this is a tough item to get fixed. I have no idea where you could take it for repair. Removing and replacing a surface mount IC with multiple leads is not a job for a newbie with a soldering iron.

Yea, I've done a few quadro hacks in my time (for those of you who don't know about this, it's basically moving and replacing SMD resistors to unlock the pro features of a Geforce) so I know what's involved with surface mount work.
If you could point me in the direction of a supplier for a replacement chip, I'm definately interested (at the end of the day, I'm only going to kill a piece of hardware that's already dead )
