Also, instead of running Linux on xbox, You can do Windows 98SE or Windows CE, so drivers will surely cover that. And rumors of XP coming soon. If you're really interested in this, I would check out www.xbox-scene.com. Sign up and search for "Xbox Windows XP" ... That's where I go to check up on mod updates. Here's a link to the fourms for running windows 98 on xbox

      Enjoy.

              VGA for Xbox

It's called X2VGA, at least that's the best one. There's lots of knock offs. Their site is http://www.x2vga.com/ but there's lot of diagrams and such on Xbox-Scene on how to do it yourself. Windows on xbox been out for a while. It started with CE and then they finally got 98SE to work. I've never went higher than 98SE so far, Win ME wasn't even stable enough to run on PC so definally wouldn't try on Xbox. XP we're having problems with. The lack of RAM isn't helping on keeping it up and running. I lost the link of the guy who had it running but he had the FriendTech Xbox (Modified Motherboard that has a faster processor and more memory ) http://www.upgrade123.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=38
Down side to that.. it has no Xbox Live due to permnatment modification. You can always get XBC (Xbox Connect) or Kali. Tunneling software to play games over net. As far as CarPC goes... Xbox isn't nothing but a computer. If you have any questions I've modded a lot of xboxes and been working on them since they've been out.. Maybe I should start another thread? but just answering your questions..

With 98SE on the XBox do you get a decent display on a TV screen? Good enough to surf and do email for example without a VGA adaptor?

Don't you have something to trade some where else?...rather than trying to cause trouble?
