If you're bidding I'll take one provided it's no more than $20CDN. Shipping should be easy as I'm in Canada too.

I'll step up and bid as well, if it's more convenient (since I'm in the US already)

We need to figure out what kind of interface and controller chip it uses.

As i understand the interface is a standard Hatatchi HD44780 type.. as per the seller stating "stadard 14 pin connecter" plus extras for backlit and buttons.

CrazyLittle - that would be great, (assuming you've used ebay before...)

20CND sounds about right for a max..
thats 12.5 US each, so no more then around 62.5US?

I'll step up for one, but would rather not go above $15US each.

So, if I understand this correctly, CrazyLittle is gonna place one bid for all of us, then assuming we win, we send him the money, he sends us the LCD, right?

Correct Sir. So far 4/5 have been claimed. one left. Here's the list:

            Machs_Fuel
            mtmsol
            CrazyLittle
            wellfooled

Think I could get this guy to close early if I offered him $45 spot cash + shipping? That would work out to a little over $7 US or $12 CDN each

At $20 CDN, the max bid for the whole lot is $62, not including any shipping. What do you guys think? Should we try it?

*edit* I noticed that he's had two prior auctions like this. The first one closed at $45, but his last auction for the same thing ended at only $20... Maybe we can just offer to outright buy them?

Hmm, if it does come out to say around $10usd a person and it is infact a hd44780 controller, then count me in.

                          CrazyLittle, your the man!

When you have them, let us know the details, and how you'd like the $ paid. My personal vote would be PayPal, but that may not work for everyone.
