  • international shipping costs

    Hello,

Iím ordering from the Philippines and Iím wondering if the declared cost of the item when shipped will also add the shipping cost? The reason Iím asking this is that our import tax duties here compute via the written cost of the item, and adding the shipping cost with the total declared value would increase my tax duties.

Iím planning to purchase this today and I hope that you would respond to my inquiry as soon as possible. Thank you.

I can only respond with repect to International shipments to Canada but yes, the uPS COD fees at the door are brutal. USPS would be so much cheaper but it has not been offered for international shipments.
My order last week had a value of $275 and I paid UPS $105.69 at my door. That was $58 tax and $48 Broker Fees! No Duty.

I'm not sure. I am now travelling until next Tuesday and the paperwork is at home. If you think of it, just remind me in this thread on Tuesday and I will look.

OK, the order shows product value of 297.17 + 21.32 shipping = 318.49US paid to MP3car on checkout.
At the door UPS showed a "total value for duty" of $275.38
It was 35.80 GST/PST for goods, 66.55 broker fee, 3.33 Broker fee GST for 105.69 Cdn
