  • Video Card Capability Question

I just bought a new laptop, here are some of the specifications:
    2 gigs of RAM
dual core AMD Turion 1.9 gigaherz
    2 120 gig hard drives
    1440x900 screen
Nvidia GeForce GO 6150 video card

It looks like my system will be fine for most games but when I play Day Of Defeat which runs on the Halflife engine, it lags on certain settings. If I set it on 1440 at 16:10 it's terrible. And then at 1280 at 16x9 it's still terrible. So I run it at 780 at 16:10 which is my only other option and it runs pretty much fine but is real big. Do you think it's the video card causing it to lag like that?

Yeah that's prolly the reason its running slow, make sure you turn off AA and AF in the graphics options. It wont look as sharp but you may be able to run it at a higher resolution with less lag.
