    http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/03/c...ucks-hands-on/

i think i may have found a way to put a carputer in my girl's car for cheap!
she doesn't really like that fact that i spend $2g on mine...
she refuses to let me install one in hers..
says she has better use for that much money..

that wouldn't even survive the postage

and if it even made it near your car you'd have to modify it; 2gb storage will barely store ANY music, programs etc. you can get cheap refurbs or decent broken screen laptops for little more.

I'd rather use a Nokia n900 from Ebay for $20.

Good luck getting a frontend running on that. I bet it's using a non-x86 architecture.

                Oops, I meant the n770 - http://cgi.ebay.com/Used-Nokia-N770-...item1e5bcb1d3b

And the n800 are going for $31. Try and find a broken one, then load Android on it.

That would end up being a pretty expensive paper weight.

So this is kinda funny, about 5 years ago my wife bought a Coby DVD player for like $25. I made fun of her to no end, laughed at the brand and claimed it would last a week. Well low and behold the dvd player still works great, has a good picture, and also will play burned mp3 cd's/dvd with an on screen menu. Granted the venerable coby has been replaced with a bluray HTPC, but it actually was not that bad of a player. I'd be interested to see this laptop based off my first coby experience.
