  • help with PC problem

I just bought a new mobo and CPU from a friend, a 1ghz Duron on a K7 motherboard.

I got it in and it booted up fine, so I started fine tuning the bios.

in the settings, I messed up and turned both the CPU clock and the Ram clock up to 133mhz without thinking, both were originally 100mhz.

Now the computer will start, but nothing will happen with the monitor, it stays off.
I've tried two different video cards. A geforce and a Voodoo3, and a I tested the monitor on my laptop to make sure it still works.
I also took the battery out of a motherboard for a few secs to reset the bios. Still nothing.

Any ideas, or did I fry something?

No, it just might need more than a few seconds to clear the cmos. Was the pc still plugged in when you pulled the battery? Make sure the PC is unplugged, and use the jumpers instead.
