            My Kite Aerial Photography Site

I havent done a lot since the first of the year as my transmitter is malfunctioning. I have flown the kites by themselves quite a few times recently though. It's a fun hobby that combines a lot of technical skill and geek factor (needed to design and build a camera cradle, lightweight power systems, R/C electronics, video transmitter, etc.) with being outdoors and whatnot. Plus there is the creative side and the thrill of getting a good shot. A couple of my photos have been published, and that is always really fun.

IMO this is the most amazing thing you can do with a kite and a camera, though. You'll need QuicktimeVR to see it, but it's worth it.

Dont you have to have good grades, and pen holder, use glasses, use short long pants, wear a tie, buttoned up shirt, be a virgin, extremely skinny, dorky looking kinda person to be a nerd?

I wouldnt call us NERDS, but maybe tech freaks.

Are you a native Amarilloian or did you move there? I only ask because that's where I came from.

I was born here, lived in VA for four years, then live here again. I make it down to Austin occasionally.. I may go down there in Oct for Bmimerfest. A lot nicer place than here, though the cost of living here is really pretty low.

It's been 10 years since I lived there, but visit family a few times a year.

I'm not a big fan of that town, but the weather there couldn't be beat. Since it has such a high altitude, no matter how hot it would get, the nights would almost always drop into the 60s. Of course, the dry air would give me nosebleeds. :/ I miss snow in the winter as well.

What is "Bmimerfest?" I'm guessing that's a misspelling, but I can't think of any festival with a name close to that.
