  • I Have solved the Dry Christmas Tree Problem

I just finished making two WebPages on how to solve the dry Christmas tree problem, the first one I take a Candy Cane Tube that you can get at the dollar store and tape on a funnel. It sounds crude, but take a look it is very crafty… The second page is a review of a new product that measures the water level of the Tree. With the two of these the Christmas Tree will never go dry! It is also really easy to water.

My girlfriend is really excited about decorating and I am not really into it, except when I get to put cool gadgets on the tree. If you come from a technical background and you get roped into Christmas decorating, you may get into it with practical things like these..

I let my family do the tree stuff, I stay away from it I'll take the cookies my sister/mom make, and go back to playing with my car or some computer stuff

I know this is the off-topic forum, but sheesh how far OFF can you get?!

Dude, I'll be sure to use your idea if I ever get a tree up in my pad. For now though, I simply don't need ferrets running all over the place trying to pull the shiny lights off of it!

I've used the same tree for 5 years, this will be 6!

It did die during our hot summer this year. But I have plans to make it shine again.

Your tree funnel is a great idea, BUT someone beat ya to it and is making $$$ off of it. You can buy them at your local hardware store. I got one at Daman Hardware 3 years ago. BUT, it doesnt look like a candy cane...so yours is still better
I'm a ghost...email me if you have any questions on my old setup

Thats what I thought too, I remember seeing it as a project dating back in the early 80s. This one is just a generic plant waterer...well I guess you can use it on xmas tree too. The design is different but the idea is the same, Im sure someone must have sold it then.

                          Good luck with it anyway

When I was in the 6th grade I made these things out of PVC pipe and went around selling them to neighbors for 7 dollars. You can't really patent it and it is so simple to make. I am hoping that people will like the idea and then want to buy a Tree Green because that is a little more novel and goes along with the idea. I want to try to get the search engines to get the craft idea while pointing people to the tree green that they can buy...

Soltronix is building 30,000 of them and I need to move them!

Mine involves a length of hoes and a funnel the candy cane is nicer than mine however I just leave the funnel zip tied to the back of the tree so it doesn't matter. This year I have no space so I'll be doing an above head setup at my parents house. I'll get some pics if I ever Finnish.
