Kinda sucks, this kid is going to get screwed, This is David V.S. Goliath and this time Goliath is going to kick some @$$!! Unfortunately for him!!

I dont think he will get screwed, because after reading the articles on ZDNet, CNN I think he will win...they say he has a good argument cause the domain is actually his real name. Hope this 17 kid wins...

Should of ask $1,000,000 -- not $10,000 for the domain! lol

Oh by the way...quote from Rowe...

"The $10 is pretty insulting for all the work I've put into my Web site," Rowe said.

            and

software engineer from Wisconsin said: "If Microsoft believes their customers will be confused by the existence of mikerowesoft.com, then they hold an extremely dim view of their customers' intelligence."

Thought it was funny to read this....what a insult for microsoft customers!! hahaha

that is a slightly different situation.

since nissan the company owns the name... as a trademark. someone else would not be able to use that name for there own personal gain... that is why he couldnt use the exact same name as the car company.

this kid is *not* using the microsoft trademarked name for his site... but rather a clever adaptation of his name. F--k microsoft for taking the time to pursue this crap on such a high level. throwing high priced lawyers at a 17 yr old... gotta love it.

I would hope Microsoft has more sense than this. IANAL, but doesn't the fact that the kid is 1. underage and 2. not a us resident, kinda throw a wrench in their lawsuit?
