  • any freeware that records audio for a set time?

I have a couple of audio tapes of lectures that I need to digitize, and I used to have some software that would allow me to set a specific amount of time to record (eg, 90 minutes) or would record until there was no audio--kinda like a vox recorder.

I can't seem to find it or anything like it. All the "freeware" on download.com is actually demo or shareware that will only allow 5 or 10 minutes of recording.

I am going to buy a digital recorder at some point so I dont have to deal with this, but I still need to transfer these old tapes.

    Any suggestions?

not freeware, but software that requires a donation. i'm using winnmd, nad since i have a sony md player, it records things in real time. if you have an MD player, then this is the software for you.

    edit~~

If you're concerned, its like... 13 euros. about 20 bucks usd. i paid using paypal.
    52-hit-combo?! Is that really necessary?

According to the page for the software, it requires a minidisc player.
