  • Networking for company Discounts

This is way of the subject but may be helpful thing to do. Many of us that are doing this projects are in the industry and working for that build, sell, or manufacture parts for what we are doing. For example I work for Panasonic someone else could be working for Kenwood and so forth. So I was thinking that if we could network and use each others companies discount it could save money on the projects that we are doing. For those of us that live in Cali it could be really great as there are a lot of Tech companies out here.

    What do you think.

Sounds like a great idea. Alas, while I work for a tech company, we don't have any relevant products.

I can post here, but I doubt it will be of any use...
My company sells computer systems to resellers, ergo we have sources for all sorts of ****.
Want a 15" or 17" desktop touchscreen? I can get 'em at cost, which isn't all that cheap.
Want a 3"-wide thermal printer (designed for receipts)? Got ya covered.
Barcode scanners & label printers? Right on.
How about a keyboard with a credit card slot and/or a fingerprint reader?

<Listens to crickets chirping in the background>

We also sell generic computer stuff, but the our cost isn't all that spectacular. I can get a P4 3.0 Ghz sitting on an Intel motherboard with onboard video & LAN, a single 512MB stick of DC-DDR (add another to use the dual channel!), CDRW & 80GB HDD for like $875.
It's not uber-performance, but the price is better than getting the same parts at Fry's...

But at least you wouldn't pay the markup we tack on.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
                How about the Wiki?

I work for a 3rd party contractor (ACS) that's taking up space in a Brother International office. Through a course of action I can get a discount on Brother equipment but so far all I see Brother make is...well...
