Probably about $70 I would say, they'll probably waive the points too since it's your first offense.

You'll most likely get that waived. I got a speed ticket, doing 55 in a 30, and running a red light ticket at the sametime for my first offense. Both the tickets were 9 points, but I got it all waived to 1 point, I think I paid around $175 or $200.

it really depends on county/municipality, but i'm guessing your under 17 so you have to show in court.

...do defensive driving so it doesn't appear on your insurance. You can do it once per year. (I speak from experience...heh..it's about time for me to get another speeding ticket, come to think of it.)

It's Texas. There are no points against your license in this state. Huzzah.
If it's your first one, take Defensive Driving, and it's wiped. You pay court costs & the fee for the DD course.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

If the answer you were looking for was 'It's free', you'll be disappointed. Pay it, attend driving school, and chalk it up to experience.

Seriously, cough up the money for driving school, it is WORTH IT. It will save you a few hundred dollars over the next few years in the form of Good Driver discounts you'll still qualify for.

Ya know whats some major bull****? My girlfriends roommate (a cute asian girl) got a WARNING for going 120 in a 30. Thats right 4x the speed limit. Had she been a lazy-eyed guy, 3x the speed limit is automatic jail time and license revoked.
