  • What bittorrent site do you use?

    Ever since elitetorrents got shut down I've been using torrentspy.com but I'm looking for something better.

    Anyone?

    mods sorry if this counts as warez talk (I'm not asking for software though)... delete if you must.

    Why use bittorrent? Have you tried newsgroups?

        well I use www.easynews.com as my newgroups provider, since my ISP servers suck. Easynews also has everything via web (global search, par viewer, auto-unrar, and more), so you do not have to use a newgroup reader. Just search google for a newgroup how to.

          My ISP is fast so I use Newsbin Pro (www.newsbin.com) to grab stuff. Just a lot less retention than easynews.

            My ISPs is ok, but retention is only ~5 days vs easynews with +30 days. Also I love the web interface and the global search. I can search every group all at once.

              Newsgroups are great, even useful for legal purposes. I'm not going to tell u how to use them on the boards, but www dot shemes dot com has a really great client.

                  torrentreactor before but now its loaded with spam and .exes

                  it shows you what the torrent contains before you have to DL it so you can avoid certain things.

                    newsgroups.... wow reminds of my middle school porn searching days...

                    torrent = faster
                    torrent = free
                    torrent = tracker and searchable, easier IMO

                      Cable modem here. Torrents are really slow for me because when I'm uploading, my DL speed goes way down.

                          use a torrent manager that allows you to adjust ur upstream rate. I believe bittornado lets you.

                              Cable modem still using one way? WTF man, cable down should be 500k/sec min and up 128k/sec min. How can it slow down the upload while you download, they are seperate streams?
