This is getting ridiculous…I regret getting a truck…
Right now I’m paying around 2.41 for regular at Costco otherwise Miami price is around 2.65 per gallon (regular)
I'm spending around 65-70 bucks of gas a week....
What are you paying for gas….

2.54 gainesville, Fl (regular 87 octane)

was 2.38 about 8 days ago.

This is the reason we Americans have 40hr work weeks and no paid vacations. Whereas at least germany has like 6 paid weeks even for waitresses. We all have cars because only major cities allow for living/working/eating/shopping without one, most other countries dont work like that.

Give it till Xmass, when the prices for egg nog, wrapping, toys, trees and ornaments sky rockets from last years prices. All cuz of some "bull****" reasons to raise gas prices.

Just a week ago they raised them because of the impending DOOM of Hurricane Irene POSSIBLY slowing production in the Gulf of Mexico. Last I checked Irene never made it even close to FLORIDA.

If i'm lucky, i pay 2.49 for regular where i live, and here where i work it's 2.79 for regular, and 2.89 for premium.

I used to buy premium, when regular was 2.19 and premium 2.29, but i'm not that rich to buy premium anymore. Plus i make like !K miles each week! Boy am i glad i got the 1.8T 4cylinder Passat. I get 32MPG on the highway, and avarage out 29 right now, b/c i drive 90% highway. I pay about $30-33 for a tank and i need 3-4 a week, depending on how i drive. so ~$100-120 a week. FU*KINC commute 1.5 hours... (96 miles each way)

i guess so. or better yet, a TDI. those are as cheap to maintain, but have better power and everything. And you can get decent TDI's whereas the Hybrids... I don't know...

Gas prices should NOT be the SOLE reason to sell your vehicle. It is okay if it is a contributing factor, like say your truck gets bad gas mileage, is breaking all the time, and you don't like it.

Get the spreadsheet and do the math. Also you might want to consider that a new car loses 60% of it's value in the first 4 years, so any savings you might see by getting a hybrid would be lost by depreciation and the initial cost.

You got a 13.1 gallon tank in your matrix right?

I get about 350-400 miles out of a tank before I refill. And I usually fill with 12.xx gallons so I might be able to squeeze more.

Lucky you, guys. here in Montreal, we buy gas by the litre with Canadian money. After converting liters in Gallons, and Canadian dollars to American dollars, the price for regular gas is:

                              3.60$ USD a gallon!!

And I put high octane gas in my Volvo, so stop complaining, please!
