That would be awsome for a FPS like Quake, but he must be really set on flight sims. Hmm wonder if we could do this in a car! A bunch of vid cams around the car and nothing but video screens. Who needs a windsheld anyway? Cops would have a ball.

            Check this out

There are many amazing flight sims that people have built... do a search for build your own cockpit on google and you should find some examples.

            http://www.senet.com.au/~dunkleyj/

Is a good one that I had marked in my favs.

There are actually some really well done sims that are modeled exactly after certain aircraft and then there are others that are amazing because of the ingenuity involved.

yeah i played once or twice at arcade but isnt as good as original (too many enemies, dont get a chance to dodge them, just a money trap) its fun watching the enemies do stupid stuff though.

                      I'll take 2!

Seriously, though. I use MS FS quite a bit, and I've experimented with multi-monitors before, but only on a single machine. That system seemed to have multiple computers running the various displays. Anyone know how they did it?

I have no experience with FS software, but it is probably some software that gets specific information for the flight sim and all the comps are networked so it just passes that data to the right machine. Of course it is a lot more complicated that that, but that is the basic principle most likely.

this is the software he says he uses on the page

Wideview software, Multi Monitors and Fs2002 Panel.

if you emailed him im sure he would send you his settings or config file, if you had those programs and wanted to do it.

replace your side view, rear view, with cameras, and have lcds for each. Then you can black out all your windows, and drive during the day time well if your a vampire anyway.

or maby just put those small cameras in with side mirrors (most likely illegal to remove em) but then when you move control to move mirrors it would move camera angle too, be cool for a survalance(sp) van.
