shudnt be too hard put ur license plate on pick a letter or number then check behind it on the inside of the trunk and see wat ur gonna hit if its clear just drill through and pop it in

what i would do is get rid of the mitsu emblem and drill out a bigger hole and pop it in there u know its gonna be centerd because of the stock holes under the sign so u cant go wrong

I second putting it by the mitsibishi logo. Only problem is that the paint is going to look all funny there probably so make sure the camera is bigger than the logo or maybe get a bigger logo and cut out the center, then have a big logo in the center with the middle being the cam.

I dont like the idea of removing the logo. I am either going to put it next to the "T" Where it says GALANT (under the emplem. or to the top right of teh plate or even just behind the plate...

If you put it behind the plate, won't you need a pretty big hole in the plate to get the led's to shine? And I'm pretty sure it is illegal to cut into a liscense plate, so be careful if you live by anal cops.

Well it says it uses CCD and is wide angle so yay there. Looks ok to me, but I personally would like to see some output quality shots...

I guess as long as you don't screw up the lettering or the stickers... I heard its a no no, but who knows.

Would it look bad if I put it in any of these spots I mentioned

The older galants 99-01 they used to have a key next to "GALANT" That would have been the perfect place to put it....

And If i put it in the bumpber I dont want it too visible. I have a blue car so I dont think that it will be visible much. I just got into a car accident yesterday morning (some lady ran a stop sign and I hit her) SO I will have the body shop install it and maybe they can paint the visible "black" area of the Camera the color of my car...

Here are some pics from the accidentt

ok, i got a few ideas...

For one, we need to look at the concept of the back-up cameras. What are we supposed to see in them? the car behind us? the road? in my belief it's neghther... In my belief I rather want to see part of my bumper as well. why? because i want to see the distance between my car and the wall/car/whatever else i'm pareking to...

                            so here's a simple idea:

Y not put it under the lip? This way you'll have a field of view like this:

In my opinion the whole sence of a back up camera is to be able to see the bumper in relation to ther objects. If you have the camera facing straight back, you still have to guess the location of your car. Makes no sence to me...

                            Have fun, and LMK
