  • Car-PC install, Toyota Carina E, OEM look

    Hi guys.

Just updated my previous install containing a 7" touchscreen, to a new centerconsole based on a 8" 16:9 touchscreen.

The buttons in the screen has been kept, as they will be hooked up to the car-pc, to control this...

    Hope you like the work....

    Nice Install

You did a very nice job, especially with the plastic soldering. What filler did you end up using by the way?

Thank you very much for the comment.
Is it the spray-filler you're asking to? I have used "Motip primer"...Though it is called primer it is spray-filler.
I have tried a lot of different types. This is the best I found.

Thanks for the response. It's always good to know what products are out there and what results they can achieve. Enjoy your new setup, I know I would.

                Thank you for your comments.
Actually this is only a temporary solution, as my goal is to have 3x this screen integrated in the center dash, controlling each a car-pc.
It just takes some time to realize, so in the meantime I'm using this setup.

                  Nicely Done

What did you do to glue the bezel and console together?
I'm thinking of doing something similar sometime soon with my Toyota Highlander, so any info would be a great help

jpntaka: It has been melted together, using a soldering iron (as you can see on the pictures).
I you want to glue it together you can use PVC glue, which will also melt ABS/PVD plastic types...
