ive made a carpc 9months ago
    check it out

    Asus aspire one netbook
    holux gps reciever
    12v car adaptor
    Sp3 windows
    igo pc nav
    logitech dinovo

The lcd screen it the orginal lcd from the netbook (i've used an hdmi cable to extend the orginal cable)
Ive put the dinovo keyboard in the ashtray it fits perfect ,just push and it slides out ...(it has multimedia buttons and an integrated mouse)
Its easy to switch tracks while driving you can feel the buttons after some training...

    a few pics...

    The car

Ive put the holux gps reciever in the trunk (used usb extension cable)
The gps software starts quick and has good fix due to the sirf3 star
However i havent figured out how to use the radar warning...
    if someone knows...

    Excuse my horrible spelling

    Criticism welcome

looks great seems as everything fits nicely. I like how the screen is higher up on the dash. Maybe if you did something to hide the wire from the screen (custom fab a trim piece) then it would look a bit more factory.

    But the screen looks great!
    1995 Pontiac Trans Am 5.7 L LT1 V8
    9.2" TView Touchscreen
Dell Inspiron 8600 Laptop and dock
Intel Centrino, 768MB RAM, 80 GB HD
    Panasonic BD-5300 Head Unit
    Flowmaster Exhaust

Nothing beats the sound of a V8 that likes to speak up...

I look around for AUDI instal.

I find your look like last model with the screen installed like yours.

For mine, I decided to modify my SYMPHONY II OEM radio.

Motorized InDash Screen, Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz, SSD

      Home Made In-Dash 7" Lilliput V1
      Home Made In-Dash 7" Lilliput V2 = LM-Lilliput Prototype
