SHout Out to both my cousins for all their help none of this would not of got done without their ideas and massive help..

    Pre War

Me and my cousins have some experience with computers and carpentry and a vast knowledge of google searching...anyone interested in doing a project ...its time consuming and sometimes nerve wracking but with patience and persistence trust me its the best feeling of accomplishment.. with that being said let me start on the installation

we modded the jet way box by removing the powersupply provided and replaced it with the bad@$$ M4 atx. we cut a hole out of the side of the jetway case and mounted the atx board there..

next we had to remove the casing for the lilliput and re sotter the ir sensor for it..

    The BATTLE
First thing we did was supplied the power by running it through the firewall of the fx35 alongside all the other wires and brought the cable down through the glove box and then under the center console to the driver side seat. then we went to work at the dash..we took the oem naviscreen out and replaced it with the lilliput we used a nissan plastic casing that we bought online somewhere and it fit nicely into the two brackets that held the oem screen. i didnt put anything to mount it to the brackets because the dash goes over it and it doesnt budge...while were dong all this we wired the aux input to the back of the headunit...we rerouted the wire for the stock wiring for the navigation down to where the ashtray and clock assembly is..i used the wiring for the cig lighter as the acc for the computer and monitor above...we then took out the ashtray assembly and used a dremel tool to cut the hole by the ashtray to the size of the oem navigation screen..once this was done we then used bondo to secure the screen to the assembly...then we sanded and panted it...after a month or so i was not satisfied with the look so i purchased the 3m di noc carbon fiber vynl graphite and covered the clock assbly with stock screen and the gear shift center console..

here we layed a piece of plywood to mount the motherboard

we cut out a hole for the power connectors of the m4 to stick out

heres the motherboard screwed in to the plywood

we cut a hole for a top mount fan and installed it for extra cooling

heres everything put in with the top off

    bench testing with the liliput

the stock screen replaced the ashtray ..bondo has not been applied yet

bondo has been applied around screen and primered

here is the screen with the bondo painted black...was not happy with it so decided to add vynl

screen with 3m di noc vynl
    \
    no vynl

    with vynl

    heres the finished product

front finished with vynl and installed

And now the RipplingHurst method of covering it up...thanks for the idea

Heres me cutting the Drivers side ac vent

    and another one..

now you see it now you dont...

idea here was use a wood block and the diffuser plate on top of it...i wanted to be able to take the computer out easily if i needed to tinker with it so i attached the wood block on with hinges...

heres the piece attached with ac vent and hinged down to take out computer....

    heres the completed project...

    and my ripplinghurst impression

and finally with the mat in place

still to come... the tecknik modded skin

Great news, another FX install! I used my overhead console for the Xenarc 700TSV, and left my stock screen where it was. I may try to swap them, but after I get a transflective. I fear the stock screen position is going to give me too much glare. What is your experience there?

If you're lurking for a while you probably already know about my install (see signature).

So the jetway is under the driver's seat? Pictures? BTW, I'm also using the DG45FC, but with an E6550 and a DSATX in an external case made out of a HD cage (To protect it from passengers kicks, I also fit an metal screen).

And more bigger pictures please! Good luck with your install.

of course ive seen your install...how you place it under the seat is my goal..im still having trouble trying to fit everything underthere...ill put pictures up when i get it as good looking as yours...as for the sunlight it is kinda hard to see during the day i adjussted the day theme to be a bit better so its doable but ur right its not that great of visibility and at certain points cant see it at all.but i work 70 hours a week so i am moving early morning and late night..but this project is a work as i go so ill be thinking of ways to figure it out..if i figure anything out ill let you know for sure...

You're right, it's a tight fit. I cut the carpet, folded part of it under the passenger space and removed some foam. I also had to shorten part of the A/C vents going for the passenger feet (it's still functional though). It's tight, but I still can go all the way back and low.

        Good luck!
