  • (56k WARNING)Mini ITX AMD Dual Core Volvo S70 Double Din Project

Here is my progress so far with my stock stereo and LCD screen, the LCD screen doesn't sit flush in my double din and i might have a custom dash made for it ($200) est.

Let me know what you think.

↑The above pictures are of the stock stereo that came in my 98 Volvo S70 GLT↑

↑These above pictures are me connecting my touchscreen monitor to my wife's notebook for testing purposes↑

↑These pictures are to give you a detailed view of the LCD in the frame and how i was able to get the VGA connector to fit↑

↑These pictures are my stock stereo completely gutted↑

↑These images are to show how i connected my IR sensor (InferRed) even though it's lens is in the wrong location which cause my frame to kind of bend so i will be fixing that↑

These images are my motherboard installed into the stock stereo, i used a 7" x 7" piece of plastic to mount my motherboard to and the plastic to the frame. I used rubber grommets to kind of make it shock proof, same on the hard drive mounted above the CPU.

    SPECS:
    G.SKILL 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
ZOTAC GF6100-E-E AM3/AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 430 MCP Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
    AMD Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor
    Lilliput 629GL-70NP/C/T monitor
Silver Double Din ABS Frame For Lilliput 669GL
    and i have a M4-ATX 250W Intelligent DC-DC PSU

OMG, nice project, but did you try to read the rules???
Maximum image size should be 800x600.

I've been using 1024x768 since I've been here and I've never had any complaints. I just mark all of my threads "56K Warning" because I put so many pictures in them.

But, really, scale them to AT LEAST 1024x768. Our Internets will thank you for it.

This is very similar to my first install. I love how your case is much neater than mine. Great job so far. Any progress?
