Looking good. Nice idea of using wood. Don't think I've seen it done b4.

      - -Take a good look at yourself while at the computer, if your in a t-shirt and talking [email protected] on the internet. Chances are you fall in the "Internet Tough Guy" catagory.- -

Thanks. I used the wood to make a silicone master mold, so if mine broke, or someone else wanted one, I could whip one up pretty easy.

Thanks. I wanted something that looks OEM and couldn't find anything, in the US, and under $200. Lol
I think it turned out pretty good for my first project.

Got it installed... But it's back out again while I'm installing this

2.66 ghz core 2 duo, 2 gb ram, 320 gb HDD and maybe an audio card later.
It's mounted on the factory amp rack.

I really like your mod job. Looks better than OEM IMHO...

What did you use to give it that texture/color? Thanks.

SEM texture and trim black paint. Apply it in very light coats to get your desired texture.

Finally getting back to this after a year and a half. Was busy swapping an LS3 into my car.

                          Updated info:
New carputer, core i3, 4gb ram, halo soundcard, 500gb SSD running Win8
Will be upgrading to a capacitive screen before final instal (and might work on a 10.1 setup in my spare time)

Pics of carputer installed in factory amp location (old MB) need to build a new case for the new setup

I'll be running optical to a zapco DSP and RCA to all the amps.
I'm debating between a single 18" sub sealed or 2 15" IB style.
Will do a active 3-way setup with custom door panels similar to these

Wish I had an LS3 for my car, was brainwashed by gas mileage into being satisfied with the V6 so I'm waiting for CARB legal turbos to come out. Would like to see updates of the rest of your project too, a 10.1 sound system has got to be awesome. If you want more sound pressure go with the twin 15's, but if you are trying to fill the complete low end, the 18 will give a little more energy at the lower end and finish your frequency response curve slightly better. More pics please!
