Very nice, I'm contemplating getting this done with a Nexus 7. Can you detail two things for me?:

    1. How exactly does the speakerphone thing work with your iPhone?
    2. How did you go about mounting it?

Lol sorry take that long to answer I tought I was get email when someone post ...Ok this very simple....mounting I just made room enough for the tablet and it lock on the open and I built 2 brackets holding the botton and the bezel hold against it...speaker is a easy solution went to best buy and got a single din media receiver from JVC ...it's like a regular radio but is made for Mp3 players and it comes with bluetooth , I setup the bluetooth on it after that plug the audio jack from the tablet adjusted the sound put the volume on max and itmhas memory so everytime car goes off and you turn back on it comes back the same way it was when you turned off...so yes there is a radio hidden behind the tablet to amp the sound and give the bluetooth function...

      take care guys

          Nice install!
Would you mind telling me what the widget you used to turn down the volume is called?

nice build you got there, i am considering building a system in my chevy malibu, and i have few questions still looking for an answer, now you mentioned that you have a JVC single din behind the tablet and you have your phone paired bluetooth to it. Say you got a new phone and you want to pair it, how can you access the settings on the JVC to pair the new phone?

              Thanks

so adding a new phone to the car will automatically find the radio system no need to click on the radio to be in discovery mode?

How are you powering everything? If more than 1 way, list all. I like that Samsung monitor on the ceiling.
In the rear cargo area on the left wheel well what power source is that?

once you sync you dont have to touch the radio anymore as soon you start the car it will connect automatic

                          Compliments on your build.

as for the dropdown screen , I have been thinking about he same thing , and I happen to have an old laptop with a full HD led screen (17") all I need is to buy a controller in china (njytouch.com) or another site if you find it

most laptop screens have a small connector so it pays off to email them and possibly provide a pic of your connector if you have found your screen.

I have done a similar thing with my 7" touchscreen , I bought the seperate components and am installing it like that , saves me the trouble of taking a screen out of the frame plus it cost me 60 bucks for a brand new led backlit screen capable of showing full HD with a touchscreen interface, I believe mij screen vga controller has cost me about 26 dollars , so it isnt expensive.

                          hope this helps your search
