I finally got the second generation up and running in my truck. Didn't flush anything since I'm going to be selling the truck I wanted to be able to return it to stock.

    Here's the truck...

    Here's the install

Nice job, the onlything I can see is that the area beneath the Lilliput would be a great place to mount that case.... but nice truck and nice clean install!!!
New CarPC on the way again I think. I miss my old one!!!

I could do that but I would have to gut out a bunch of plastic and since I'm selling the truck I didn't want to do that.

If I were keeping it I would have mounted the PC in the console and flushed the screen in there, then put the DVD player in under the screen.

I'm ready to get my next vehicle so I can do a permanent install!

            Thanks Mate

            though i noticed this

"Important Note: The memory we currently stock is unfortunately NOT compatible with this case. It requires very low profile 0.8" DDR PC2100 SDRAM (we are looking!). Although the dimensions are similar, this is NOT intended for use as a Car PC."

are they talking about the ram?

That's funny because one of the reasons I bought that case is because I could use regular memory in it. I didn't buy low profile for mine... strange.

                Nice install!

I was going down the ATX Shuttle PC route, but I am now thinking about the Morex 3688. How did you hook up the power supply? Didi you use a regulator, inverter etc.

I'm not electronically minded, so please be gentle!

Don't feel bad, I'm not either. I just run it off of a small inverter currently. I bought a lighter extension cable that has a switch on it so I can cut power to it when the truck is parked.

I have since bought a pw70 and itps that I'm going to hook up in my BMW. Since the truck is for sale everything is out of it and sitting on my desk.

                    Thanks for the reply.

Where did you get the pw70 & itps from? I won't lie to you, I don't know exactly what they are! But if you can give me the hyper-links I'll read up about them. I'm more a computer person rather than electrical if you haven't guessed already?!

By the way does your M/Board do widescreen on your Lilliput? As I thought I saw somewhere that some of the Via boards couldn't do 16:9 widescreen.

                    Thanks.
