Well, hoping to get a camera tomorrow and get the pics done. I'd like to get a small video too of the Media Center interface as I think it needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The no name screen will make it's way into my wife expedition as a second DVD screen. Sorry. I got my Peal n Seal at a local roofing supply store. I called Peal n Seal and asked for the closest place that sold it.

In the mean time I'll update the first post with some Peal n Seal install shots till the other pics get posted.

                  Peal n seal answers.

The place I bought it from carried 4", 6", and 32" x 33' for $8, $12, and $72. They also make a 12" roll but I don't know the cost. The back is a extremely tacky tar-type stuff with a backing on it that you just peal and stick it. It's 40mil.

I haven't done the doors yet but for about $100 I did my whole car with enough to do my doors. Compare that to Dynamat, Brownbread, or any of the others and it's much cheaper. I do notice a slight difference in noise while driving. The smaller bumps have more of a solid muffled sound than a sound that goes "through" the floor. Not sure if I described it correctly...? I still think a second layer would make much more of a difference.

BTW. Here is a Thread I started a while ago on the peal n seal subject.

I hope to get the camera today for pics.

I wish I had the patience to go through all that, my GTP rattles SO bad right now.. I can't take it! There's something rattling on the dash, heavy bass rattles the rear deck very badly, one of the clips on the panel under the rear driver window is broke and that squeaks.. One day I really gotta get this taken care of .. Looks good, looking foward to seeing the rest of the install

I think all GMs start to rattle after a while. I get it from the lid on the center console but there is a fix, I just havn't done it yet. I get a little rattle from somewhere on the dash but I havn't found it yet. My current issue is with the front end sounding like it's gonna fall appart when going over small bumps while coasting. I think it's because of the polyurethane motor mounts. At least that's when the front end noises started.

Noticed you said your using MCE2004. I use that on my HTPC, its actually a great peice of software. I am planning on installing on my car to see how well it works out there. Thought I may end up using MC, ME, or just windows for now.

                        Im also toying with XPe.

OK. Finally got the pics up and here are a few movies to see the interface in action.

NOTE: Right click link and save as.

If the bandwidth usage gets to be too much I am gonna pull the vids. Each one is about 3.8Mb and the digicam kept refocusing but hey what do you expect from a still camera...
