  • 2003 VW GTI 1.8T 20th Anniversary

Nearly finished computer in car. (Sorry for the cross-post)

Before I begin, I have to give props to Mr.T whose idea I copied, and whose old screen/molding I bought. Also, have to thank n1mr0d, AlanR, and flashback, from this forum (VWVortex) that helped me with the audio problems. Also, Cherub211 from (Mp3Car), who helped me with the power problems.

Now that I have it working, I need to start taking advantage of it. Navigation, movies, videos. As of now, my 160 gig has 1 mp3 on it.

    Computer specs:
    P4 2.8ghz 800 mhz FSB
    160 GB Hard Disk
    512 MB DDR 400
    Wireless LAN / OnBoard LAN
    Size: 6” x 7” x 11”
    Windows 2000

    Monitor:
    7” Lilliput Touchscreen
    Custom Molding

    Sound:
OnBoard audio (soon to be changed to Maya EX)
    Clarion APA450 amp
    No headunit.

Pictures: (They are crappy. Better ones soon. Ignore the missing plastic pieces next to the hazard. That is for turbo timer which I haven’t finished yet)

    Amp/PC

Weird shot showing the Wireless LAN

    Wireless Keyboard

    Winamp

Nice - why winamp though? Try frodoplayer, media car or media engine .

Cool another dubber joins the ranks. See you guys at waterfest, make sure to pre-register.

Is it hard to see the screen down there? I know that the sunlight hits my screen a certain way sometimes and I can't see jack ****
                            Mine needs to be updated.
