It is the passenger (their is pockets on both sides, the left one holds jack / tools and changer and an amp in my car) side pocket in the trunk. The speakers you see are the Bose sub that comes installed from the factory.

I have not had a problem with them interfering with the computer

Nice install, the dash looks really good.
Couple of questions, how are you using the stock radio, are you connecting the output from the computer to the headunit? If so what are you using to achieve this?

Are you using an auxialliary input convertor to get the audio into your head unit?

I am currently using a Clarion FM modualor to connect the pc to the stock deck. However, I am seriously looking into changing it to use the aux port (the cd changer is currently attached to it) I wanted to see how much I would use the changer after the install. I can sum up my changer usage in one word......"never."

The car pc is not as loud as before and the deck seem to go into a safe volume-ish mode so i need to turn the volume up on the deck to crank it. Other wise in normal volume no need. It would also sound a bit cleaner too. I tell people who have listened to it and they call me crazy when I say that. The bose system sounds good but lacking in bass but I solved that by adding a 10 DVC Infinity to the system and really turning the bass down and letting the sub fill that area.

When I moved the stock radio all i had to do was (cut the back of the glovebox) extent the ground wire a bit to still be connected. No other wire was cut not even the hazzard lights, which are accessable to the driver. You need to know where the are though.

Wow nice install you got there! Think it was your install that gave those people at Audi the idea to standard equip the new A6 with an MMI.
Why is it drug addicts and computer afficionados are both called users?

                    Currently : Audi A6 - no install

Second install : VW Passat '97 CarPC
                    First install : '87 Audi 80 CarPC

very nice install, now why did you bondo/fiberglass when the unit was still on the car? I'm just learning how to do this stuff and doesn't it get really hot when it cures? What type of paint did you use also?

                        Thanks!

If you look at my first picture with the fiberglass (actually Kittyhair) you can see their are two separate pieces. So in order to shape the location and still fit properly. I had to leave in the car and the let it dry in the car, about 15 minutes. The painters tape I used was awesome... the kittyhair just separated right from that tape.

I am not an expert in anyway, but I will answer your questions they best I know.

                          Thanks for the compliment

Chuckie ... nice screen work. The ME skin you're using makes it match the rest of the interior exactally ...

AClean ... FWIW, I found that when fabing a screen bezel, sometimes it's good to let the bondo dry with the bezel installed ... sometimes when you take trim out of a car, it will flex a bit ... adding bondo and letting it dry in that flexed position could cause extra stress when you install the trim back in the car and it stretches back to it's original position.

I'd still say apply the bondo outside the car if possible ... but let it dry installed (at least for the first few coat)
