  • 96 Accord iCarputer

    Installed this in August...and 4 months later...here it is (I'm lazy )

it's also on my site www.icarputer.com

    Centrafuse - Front end
    Iguidance 2.0 - GPS
    Karen's Replicator - Syncing files

    8" Lilliput Touch Screen
    VIA M10000-N Mobo
    256 MB Corsair RAM
120 GB Western Digital Hard Drive
Orinoco USB wireless internet adapter + 7db external antenna
    Rikaline 6010 GPS receiver
    750 Watt Vector Power inverter
    Custom Acrylic case

    The case:

Front view where most of the connections are

    Bird's eye view

    <a href="images/img_0041.jpg"><img src=images/img_0041.jpg height="300" width="400" border="0"></a><br>
Side view. You can see a small relay board that turns the computer on and off.

Other side view where the DC power connections are to turn the computer on and off and power the
    volt meter and lilliput

    The Dash and Screen:

You see the voltmeter which turns on when the computer is on

    Another view

    View at dusk

    No security (screen on)

    Low security (screen off)

    Medium security (screen covered)

High security (screen removed and put into the lock trunk)

What a mess. And what a beast. The MTX 81000D. This is with the backseat folded down.

The trunk. The inverter, mids/high amp, 12" sub, and of course, the carputer.

well...heres the thing...i really dont care how it looks in THIS car because i'm taking it out this summer when i buy a new one. i knew form the start that this was only going to be in the car for less than a year. I jsut wanted to see what works, what doesn't work, which software is good, what i should add on, how everything sounds, etc.

                accords

Hey man, could you repost or email those pictures to me on how it turned out. I'm going to be doing a install on my 96 accord ex and I was just curious as to how you did it. I'm going to be running a 1.66ghz mac mini or if I can find the laptop processor a 2.4ghz. Thanks.
