That is the controller pod for the ProLogic II surround sound DSP. It is a Clarion DVC-920 which connects to the brain box DVH-920. I went with Clarion because it can be configured as a stand-alone unit, has a separate small surface mount controller and the fact that you can modify the optical input cables (CeNET) to accept a Toslink connector.

No, mine is aut. But the 850R man. has some problems with clutch and gearbox (wait, mine's got that too, not clutch thoug) but I thougt it would be easier to go with aut cause I would fry my clutch pretty often if I had gone man. I drive like I stole the car =)

How do you like the advanced chassie mode? they say it's to hard for normal roads. is it?

Either your English is just fine or mine is so bad I can't tell the difference.
It is running bus powered on a good shielded 4 meter FireWire cable.

The DVD slot line DVD came from here:
                  LogicSupply (Vermont, USA)

                  The enclosure from here:
Combo USB 2.0/Firewire Enclosure (CA, USA)

I am using Alex Peper's OBD-2 cable/software it runs the RS232 signal out on CAT5 cable that can be extended and there is a RJ45->DB9 dongle on the PC end. Cost is about $120 US.
