  • Nissan Titan Re-Install

I previously was using an after market radio and the digitalww in-dash housing but decided I wanted the system to have more of an integrated look. The Titan has an option of a navigation system so I ordered the housing for that system and integrated the monitor into it, here are some pics.

Nice install - looks factory. Isn't the text a little too small though??

I've been running this screen resolution on my previous installs for about a year now and it's never been an issue. The monitor is now a little farther away so if it does present a problem I'll change things up. I will however thank my Dad for perfect vision.

I wouldn't say no glare Grimey but I was VERY impressed today. It was sunny out and we just got 10" of snow, about the worst condition you can possibly ever get and it was still very useable.

People, lilliput. I probably will. I've always just messed more with the hardware than actually getting things looking pretty. Since I'm finally happy with the install maybe I can now focus on that.

                    Outstanding!

I'm working on a similar set up with a Mac Mini. Someone just directed me to this thread from the one I started. I have a Lilliput 8" 809GL-80NP/c/t that I need to mount. How much did the Nissan housing cost? So far I have about 1400 into my system (Mac Mini, Maxtor 250gb hd, Lilliput 8", XMdirect PCR, and Holux GR-231 GPS). The last thing I'm waiting for is the MM. If you have any words of wisdom for the install pass them my way.

This is all going into a 2004 Titan LE KC.

                    Thanks,
                    Bill

Great to see a fellow Titan guy out there. I'm not sure if you go to this website but http://www.titantalk.com/ is definitely "the" Titan site. There is a post there that should give you some info for the navigation bezel. Just do a search for "Navigation Bezel" and you will find it. Also search for my name on there of troutspinner and that will lead you to a similar post of this but with a little more info.

The bezel can be had for $137 and a great source to get the bezel is titanparts247.com - Call them and ask for Jamie in parts and he'll hook you up.

The 7" screen fit very nicely but I think an 8" might be too big. Could be trial and error for you there. Maybe get the housing, see if it is something you can work with and if not, return it.

If you have any specefic questions, fire away!

Thanks for sharing the nice work Troy! I just picked up my 2005 Titan SE yesterday, and the nav panel is already on order.

                          Bezel

Question about the Bezel. What all does it replace? And is the one you ordered like the LE one and have the back semicircle part grated for a speaker?

Just wondering what all it replaces on my 2004 CC Nice work by the way I was thinking about the carputer in the arm rest since it is huge or under the passenger seat so I don't loose my storage space filled with junk

Any idea if this part would fit in a 2001 Xterra? I would love to have that dash in mine.

                              Titan trim removal

                              Troy,

I really like your Titan install. I bought a 2005 LE and got the nav trim already. I am working on an install simular to yours but with a commell lv-672 motherboard. I am getting close to tearing my dash appart because I have everything else running. Do you have any hints on getting the dash and trim apart?

                              Thanks in advance.

                              Hank
