  • 1992 Vento - HAL9000:b

Well, my project. I've tried to make it look as stock as possible.
I use smart5.1 to get 4 channel surround, with external analog amp.

    Carputer:
    M10000
    Opus 90w
    60gb 2.5" hdd
    512 mb ram
    Panasonic slim slot in dvd-reader
    Globalsat GPS reciever

    Other:
    Xenarc 700tsv
buttons below screen via parallellport (mute and surround/2xstereo)
    wheel via usb (volume up/down)
webcam as rearcam (brand unknown, think is a logitech)

    Software:
    Windows XP
    Girder
    Frodoplayer
    MapMonkey

Project report (in swedish) with much photos --> report (link works now, preferably use "save target as")

The car is not a 1992.........

            1995 (model year) until 1999.
i had the same one when i was 16.

unless in sweden they have released the same bodystyle about 3 years earlier.. i am curious.

the install looks awesome! Perfect fit and finnish and positioning
            Welcome, cdm.

It was released in euro and area before NA, as almost all VW's are.
Very clean install, I am goign to have to show that to a couple mk3 friends.

                      He man!
                      Nice job on the screen!!

The air regulators, did you do that yourself, or did you take it from an American car?
I drive a Vento to, and I got no idea how i'm going to implement my screen in this car...
