Thanks, i appreciate it, im really glad it turned out the way it did. Haha, yeah the pics dont really do justice on how much work bondoing and sanding time goes into a project like this. The first pic isnt abs, i used this glue that i found at my house, its technically not a "superglue" but on the tube, it said "BOND"...i used that to secure the faceplate in and then went out and bought some KrazyGlue brand superglue and went over the back and front seams with it.

That bezel looks absolutly amazing! What were the exact steps on doing that?
I can tell it was a lot, but, what sand paper grid did you use?

It looks really good! Nice work! I wish I could get my trim piece to look that good... (even after 3 tries...)

The only thing I'd be afraid of is that Bondo cracking in the differing temps....
                The Bondo-glass is much stronger...

                Good luck!

I was just wondering if you can tell me th process in which you do this. I am planning on a project in the near future and would really like to do what you have done there. Do you just use Bondo to fill in the cracks and then what grit of sandpaper do you use? Any help would be grealy appreciated! Thanks!

Excellent work. Paint job turned out flawless. What paint did you use? The semi-gloss looks great.

thanks everyone, i promise to get pics up tonight. I use bondo regular body filler. I first used 100 grit to get that bondo down and used fine 400...it seemed much finer, b/c i bought more 400 (not the same kind) and it seemed rougher than the stuff i was using....so a very fine 400 grit (3m, tan in color). I took my time with the sanding and the bondo. I used probably about 5 layers of primer with sanding 2 times in that process and sanded 1 time before the black semi gloss. after 2-3 coats of black, i sanded 1 last time and applied the final 2 layers of black. The last layer i kind "spritzed" the paint to try to give a oem look to the surface and turned out pretty good. The surface isnt as smooth as the picture depicts.
