  • My 01 altima install

I know.. tacky lol. Any suggestions on how to get the case to stick to the subbox? What i plan to do is fix that to the box, get rid of the zip cables then build a carpeted wall so the computer and everything behind the sub is hidden.

Not perfect but works til the computer comes out for maintenance in the summer.

What about screwing the side of the PC case into the sub box? I agree with the above poster (but can't complain because mine looks similar). Good luck!

maybe bolt it?, or get a smaller case....and bolt that...like an amp. I'm not one to talk because mine is sorta just laying in my car still......in the carpeted wooden box. I plan on getting rid of my sub enclosure soon, takes up too much room. I use my trunk a lot.

Why not just make a floor for your trunk the same shape as the cardboard one to go over the spare tire well (if yours is cardboard like mine in the 98 model) then take the motherboard and all other pc parts out of the case then mount them to the underside of the floor.

great ideas. The only problem if i screw it to the subbox is i cant get it outta my trunk cause of the way the trunk is shaped. I like the idea of the floor but i wonder if i could manage that! I wanted to go with a smaller case but i've got ALOT of cooling fans installed and i'd like to keep it that way thru the summer.

Why not make the wooden floor have a little door that swings up with your pc on the underside of it right in front of your sub box. Then maybe you can make some sort of way to keep that whole compartment down there insulated and cooled and keep your amp down there as well.

i'm getting to the point where I dont care about taking the PC in the house anymore. A few more mods......finish the slot dvd drive install.....and then if i need to do any changes, I've got wireless, bluetooth keyboard and mouse, USB thumbdrives and harddrives......and a slot dvd drive. after that, I think I might mount the PC, where my jack is located, behind a door. If you nearing this stage, you might consider not worrying about bringing the PC in too.

yea i'm pretty much at that point. The false floor sounds like a great idea too. I just wonder if i'm up to the task of that . I'm not too "handy" building stuff like that.
