    Now carputer pics:

    The car:

    The computer:

Doesn't it look nice. Spent hours making it, but WTF happen to it later on.

    Frontend: Mobile Impact

    Video

It's hard to see, but little black thing sticking up from bottom middle of the screen is remote IR sensor. Don't ever need to touch the buttons on the LCD.

    GPS: Iguidance 2.1.3

    Navigation Window Close

Color is a little off since I am using 2003 Navigation window. 2006 doesn't have a pull down window.

Power button: Glows yellow/orange around the base when PC is on.

Unfortunately, my camera sux at taking dark pictures. Best I can do.

    Keyboard & Gamepad

    GPS Receiver

If you were wondering, Mario 64 is running on the screen.

    Computer hidden behind passenger seat

    Computer open

Now, result of having limited space and wires running everywhere.
Got longer IDE cables, and thus, the DVD drive has been moved to little compartment above the computer. Not shown in the pic.

    Update (5/27/06):
    Wireless Adapter Added

I can remove the adapter and close the lid making it look like previous pics.

Getting between 36-54 mbs in front of my place separate by 2 walls.

Only thing left is to add reverse camera. It's mostly wired. I just need to find a camera I like. Hope, you enjoy. It took me months of researching which allowed me to do it in 3 days.

            Here:

It's not a perfect fit. You have to do some minor cutting. Might go back and try to align it better, but afraid stupid "Service engine soon" light will appear again. Cost me $70 to reset it. Service manager was trying to scare me about loosing my warranty if the light comes on again and they need to repair something.

If your check engine light comes on, can't you just take it to Partsource or Autozone or something and have them read your codes and clear 'em for free? That's about the only reason I ever go to PartSource here LOL

What happened? was there actually a problem? Probably the only thing that can cause an SES light from behind the radio is if you forget to put the ribbon cable for the climate controls back on before you start the car..

Even then there is a procedure to reset the ecu to remove the SES light..
                  1. unhook your battery for > 24 hours

No problem. Just had to reset the ecu. I did start the car many times with climate control ribbon disconnect while testing the computer to make sure the install was proceeding right. I remember what you say next time.

Metal mesh surrounding top and bottom layer of 1/4 inch thick by 16X9 inch plexi glass.

Here's what metal piece (comes 4.5 feet at Lowe's) looks like and how I bend it to fit glass inbetween. Held all together by nuts and bolts. The MB and PS sits on top of plastic washers.

Gonna say no, because I don't know what an amplifter is. Guessing it has to do with sound playback, I am just connecting PC onboard output > PAC-NIS2 > OEM Bose system.
