  • 2007 Chrysler Sebring CarPC

I am about to start installing my carputer on my 2007 Chrysler Sebring. I ordered all the parts earlier this week so I'm just waiting for them to come in. Here's what I'm using:

Intel Dual Core Atom and MB
    2GB Ram
    320gb 2.5" SATA hard drive
    M2-ATX Power Supply
    Mo-Co-So case
    Lilliput EBY701 Screen
    Visteon HD Tuner
    ELM 323 OBD II Interface
    Slim USB DVD drive
    CF to IDE adapter
    4gb CF card

I'm sure there's more, but I'll post when the stuff shows up!

You might want to build "socket" for your HD just in case. Or you can purchase one. Socket basically just dampens all shocking. Its really simple thing and helps a lot in carpc enviroment.

There are diffrent views on HDD placement. I believe that the HDD simply needs to be turned on its side, so when there is shock the needle can glid across rather then smash straight into the plates. Others will say a 2.5 HDD is built to take force so it doesnt matter. In the end it all depends on your comfort zone.
