  • 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS

Hello all well i guess ill start my thread seeing as i am done with research and all most all my toys are here.

Car : 2001 mitsubishi Eclipse GTS

Most of the 3g eclipse people will say no such thing exists, but im here to tell you, you are wrong muhahah. Well sorta. The car was purchased by the pervious owners from a car lot, they told me they always had trouble finding parts for a GTS, after doing some research, correct me if im wrong but the gts wasnt made till 2003? In any case it made me wonder. They were selling it do to the reended a truck and the front end needed rebuilt, A core support, hood, fender, and a bumper later its good as new... well still lacks paint but thats for this summer. They also stated they had continueing issues with the audio in the car. After further reearch found it used to have a infinity sound system, well to say the least who ever though twusting wires together and useing a little electrical tape would work was saddly mistaken.

This lead me to my cross roads rewire the whole car stock, or go a step further. Being a tech geek, that wasnt that hard of a choice

That lead me to where i am now.

Please update me on the boot time of this motherboard, most particularly interested in the POST time, with load optimized default enabled, and if it has quickboot it should boot even faster. Shoot me a PM if you've tested the system. I might make this my next setup.

Its awsome, to say the least, i will disable the fast boot but right now from completely off to front end loaded is about 30seconds that is with a full version of XP loaded i had to install a full version because one or two of the things i had removed in the lite xp i did i actulay needed Woops lol.

when i get a chance this weekend i will time just the post but it is serisouly just a couple of seconds. with this board you could go with a faster more robust processor then i did if you wanted to but i am happy with this setup so far unfortunatly i dont have it completed yet as school and work take up most my time during the week but but im slowly makeing progress. kinda doing a million things at once on my car so it seems very slow progress but im makeing head way.

I was doing a search for similar installs as my 01 gt eclipse, and came across your page--- how is your car a gts? the gts package included a variable intake manifold-completely different design, and were known as cali spec-- basically they changed the location of some of the O2 sensor that was on teh top of the front exhaust, none of which were manufactured until the 2003 model year.

I'm not saying its not possible, just wondering if you went through the trouble to do the swap.
