    Hey guys and girls,

This is my work log tread, and i'll be updating every once in a while, when there's some major updates.

Right now I'm gathering information for the build, i know what screen I'll use and what carPC I'll be using, i don't need anything out of the ordinary. Anyways here are some pics of the ride:

    Current Winter Specs:

Last Summer specs (will be changing rims, and lower it):

Interior (not mine, but same tan interior and same bezel):

    My plan (something like this):

That's the OEM Navigation unit from Subaru, but its not that good!

My plan is to convert my OEM non-navigation bezel into one that i can put a 7" touch-screen!

Anyways, i got another bezel sitting here, just waiting for my screen to show up (or just the housing if i can get one) to start hacking at it! (will update with pictures once i get my camera!)

Browsing through the site, and came across this picture from DeltaBi!

This is the exact same setup I want, make the screen sit further in at the bottom to have a better viewing angle, would anyone recommend a best way to do it?

in my expereince...depending on the the level of your eyes to the screen.. I've found that tilting the top of the screen screen "slightly" backward...will be much easier on the eyes ..
in regards to having a comfortable viewing experience...

to me its like reading a book.. i have the book slightly titled back...i dont read it straight up.. perpendicular to body.

but to each is own..of course..

in my car, the tilt also eliminates glare from behind me. like passengers clothing reflecting on the screen.

            Thanks for the heads up!
I'll definitely look into that! I never even thought of that! But I'm not that tall 5'8" and i don't want too much glare from the sun (since i also have a sunroof) so i'll be looking at all aspect! Trying different viewing angles, but I see your point of view!

            Thanks

Looking forward to seeing your progress. I have an 05 LGT w/ a motorized touchscreen in the center bezel.

Are you going to move the stats display (mpg, temp, etc.) to the ashtray to make room for the fixed screen?
