  • 2008 Toyota Tundra Complete Stereo and CarPC Install

    Well I finally started my project and I thought I would share a few early pictures. We worked all day Sunday while watching Olympic Hockey. Actually very few beers were shared because we were eager to beat the sun. We started this outside.

    The Story

    My wife decided to let be buy my new truck after she agreed to drive the new car. The truck I selected was basic but I saw that it had lots of room for after market goodies to satisfy my addiction to wire things together. It is a 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab withe 5.7 Liter V8. There is a ton of room behind the rear seat in this truck.

    I looked all over the place and saw that someone on the Tundra forums had done something similar. He posted excellent pictures. Thanks to Turbo Jet and his thread http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...complete-pics/ I was able to get a good idea when I went shopping.

    List of stuff goes here.

    I will update this post once I do the whole run down I just want to get the pics up for now.

    congrats on getting one of the largest mp3 players on the market... i am myself a proud owner of a 2007 tundra.

    i have never looked behind the backseat of my truck but one this i can tell u for sure is that youd think that before my install i was sure there is planty of space behind the dash, and other places for just about anything... i was wrong, spaces in the front part of the truck are pretty tight... so i hope you find what you are looking for in the back (;

    anyway i have also completed my install of a car pc... if u want to get some more ideas ... take a look... this is all the work ive done with the carpc on this truck...

      I agree with the above ^^^ it's pretty tight behind the dash - same thing on the Sequoia (I just started a thread this week, see signature).

        I didn't get a chance to update this thread in a while. I have all the pictures and the work log. I just can't figure out why this forum won't let me upload them. I will work on it tonight.

          I would really like to see what you have done. I'm getting ready to do something with my 2004 tundra.
