I can see a problem right off the bat, you are not running regulated power to your monitor.. Make sure you regulate that or you could cook it... they are not built to deal with the spikes and drops in power.

As far as the screen is concerned.... You dont have to run it off the PSU. Just make sure you use the regulator that comes with your screen. If its a Lilliput screens it comes seperate with the screen, its attached to the cig lighter plug. If its a screen like the VM70, then it has regulation built into the screen.

thanks. yeah its going to get its power off of a relay that will also be sending a signal to the PSU when to turn on and when to turn off and the PSU will send a signal to the amp. There will be two switches one for the relay which will allow me to have my computer on/off/ or auto (when ignition is turned on). Then the signal going from the PSU will have a switch, so I can control it if I want the sound on well I have the computer on or not (which I guess I'm gonna have to fuse that as well :/).

edit: I'm going to have to think about the switch because if I have my car on and then I want to turn my car off without shutting down my computer then everything thats not being told when to be on or off by PSU power will be cut for however many milliseconds. I could fix this by having two switches, but rather not do that.

Maybe using a timer relay and instead of a normal relay and then have a hot wire and ignition signal wire run to a three position switch and run that wire into a timer relay.

                Updated wire diagram

The way mine is setup is it has 4 switches. One is for ignition on, meaning you turn the key and the PC comes on. The second is for Non key ignition. Meaning if I turn off the car, as long as this switch is on, the PC will stay on. Switch 3 is to tell PC1 to stay on, but still triggered by one and two. Switch 4 is the same as switch 3, but for PC number 2.

I might do the 2 switches. It seems like the easiest route, but I'm gonna look some more and see what I can find, so far though I've only found this: http://www.amazon.com/Pulse-Timer-wi.../ref=de_a_smtd and not really sure if it would work.

                      Good project.

Screen and PSU are mixed up in the post.

Noobie here, which program did you use to create the diagram?

UMMMMM, just use a regular switch and a regular automotive relay. It doesnt have to be a fancy relay.

I'm an idiot and used paint. I think autocad or something would work a lot better. I was to lazy to install autocad and try to learn it, but wasn't to lazy to spend even more time in paint? Technically paintdotnet

USB 3 is backwards compatible with USB 2. Its the future, why not go with it?
