To start off I had to prepare the truck for the PC. First I did minor mechanical maintenance to ensure it will run another 145k miles.

That done I started on some cosmetic changes I wanted. I changed the sliding back window to a single piece of glass. Then I removed the 60/40 bench and added buckets from a newer Tahoe. (Ignore the torn upholstery, I plan to recover them.) I stripped down the dash too. Finally, I added a Python alarm and shaved the door handles.

My project is progressing slowly but surely. I am waiting for some things to modify my dash for my Pixel Qi LCD. In the meantime I sent the truck to have the bumper fixed from the results of an inattentive driver. It should look like the black truck's roll pan by Wednesday.

Got my Dynatron in recently. Taking a course in Turbocad6's school for custom bezels. Trying to make my Pixel Qi LCD fit in my dash. Made just preliminary progress today. Will have more later.

Yeah it is a little sparse now; but it will get better, trust me. This worklog will progress albeit slowly because I am focused on a set goal I want for my system.

4ofakind: Man, at first, I opened this thinking it might be someone displaying their uber programing skills. lol

But good luck with the project.

I ordered the leds from china. 7' of red 1' of white. They are completely inclosed in silicon to make them waterproof. I had to custom modify them to the correct size needed for each position.
I am getting a rollpan which I ordered from Grants Customs put in and the leds installed to look like the rollpan on the "BLACK" truck. My truck is red and got the least worries of the accident. I consider it a blessing because I got my rollpan for next to nothing.

Bump for updates in post #4. Also, I got my truck back w/ the new roll pan. Finishing up the wiring, but I love it so far.
