  • 2004 Mazda Tribute - All-In-One In-Dash

I've been running a PC in the car for 2 years now with the PC under one seat and amplifier under another.
Going to finally take the plunge to an all-in-one in-dash setup.

Starting to get some boxes in, so I'll be starting the new build soon...

Here is a list of the new parts I have in the box.

    Black double-din nano case
    Internal amp for nano enclosure
Mini Din to VGA (for the Liliput screen)
    Speaker harness for nano case
    HDMI right angle connectors
    12v harness for nano case
    Via EPIA-P720-10 Pico-ITX board w/2GB DDR2
    160GB SATA HDD
    Liliput 669GL-70NP/C/T-HB-RV
Boyo VTL300C license plate frame camera
    Carnetix CNX-P2140 regulator

For now, I'm going to re-use my Silabs USB radio and USB GPS receiver.
    Software still Centrafue & Garmin.

I've been buying a piece at a time for several months now...finally enough to get started!

I've been running XP on my existing carpc. For the new install, would you suggest sticking with XP, or loading Win7?
Board drivers are available for both OSes.

I'd go with XP - Win7 is heavier on the processor, even without Aero and all additional bells and whistles, and this board's processor is not that fast.

YAY! Another in-dash install. I can't wait to see this one.
