  • 96 Prelude a work in progress

First test fitting the screen. i thought it was going to be hard to make everything fit but i wasnt going to give up.

    good ole bondo

testing fit after i molded it in

after i textured painted it and the way it looks today

the way the finished product will look like

only thing left is to fix the touch screen feature and wire everything up. i have been a lurker on this site for a few weeks now and finally decided to sign up and join you guys. if it wasnt for this site and the helpful people i would probably never have decided to get a carputer. let me know what you guys think. im hoping i can get the touch screen thing fixed this week and have it all done before next monday. my fingers are crossed!

it is nice and smooth, lol. i used sem texture paint and then a thin coat of satin on top. im planning to use a laptop for now that is going to be under my seat but eventually im going to build a small carputer and have it on the inside of one of the side panels in my custom trunk.

thanx man! i finally got the touchscreen feature worked out and got the sound working. now all i have left is to figure out how to rerun the power button from the laptop to somewhere else so i dont have to reach under my seat everytime to turn it on.
