yea we should meet up and have a goosey gander at eachothers installs!

as for the finish, we have a flat acrylic finish right now as a primer, (will get pics asap), and then we will top it off with a glossier finish which will match the dash better.

why didnt you take the screen out of the bezel? a good hit with 100 grit would grap that tape and scratch the hell out of your screen. oh well. no problems, right? good work.

no its not, just the steering wheel from one

as for taking the screen out of the console, and the console out of the dash, the dash wont allow it. its all part and partial within the dash. So all fab work had to be done in the car with the screen in place :/ not best practice, but came out all ok in the end.

                          OK

Actually I afterwards noticed that the seats don't look very 16V
I have the the same 16V steering wheel in my dodgy little R5...

nice job so far can I recommend a DC-DC supply it is so less a pita over using an inverter even if you avoid a flat battery!

One thing.. can you even get the screen out again? I didn't know you could remove the R19 dash including the surround without getting behind where the screen is now afixed. One of the reasons (aside lazyness!) for the simple install of the LCD in my Laguna is I know I probbaly will have the car PC longer than the car.
