  • 2003 Tiburon GT

Well guys this is my first post, I just got around to making an account, I've been looking at this site for a lil over a year now for ideas, and help when I get stuck with my own carputer, I've had my carputer in for a lil over 4 months and I LOVE IT. I wouldn't have it any other way now. Ok this is a work log so this is what I'm working with.

    The car: 2003 Tiburon GT

    Current mods:
    • Evo Shifter link bushings
    • OBX short throw shifter
    • Extream Dynamated half the cabin
    • Clear corners
    • Tuscani badges
    • 3D tail lights(I don't like them)
    • Racing seats
    • Removed clutch slave cylinder
    • 110 amp Alternator(refurbished)
    • Reverse glow gauges
    • Green neon under glow
    • AEM Cold Air intake
    • Borla Cat-back Exhaust
    • Nology hotwires
and I'm probly missing some of my mods but I can't think of them right now

    The system
    • Ampie case
    • 60 gig 2.5 HD
    • 512Mb of ram
    • VIA EPIA M10000 Mini-ITX Mainboard
    • M2-ATX 160W Intelligent DC-DC PSU
    • Connected through my pioneer Head unit
    • Lilliput 7" VGA Touchscreen molded into my dash.

I'll get some more pictures of it when I get my cam back from my friend. Any questions and comments and suggestions would be nice, I notice that there isn't much in the way of Tiburon owners with carputers and the ones that are out there.... Well.... I don't like how they did there screen, they made it all flush mount... and I don't think it looks that OEM at all What do you guys think?

Well man congrats on the car :-D I love mine. Ok you've probly been to the site if your looking at modding your car but this is a good source for anything about your car. www.newtiburon.com The fourms are full of VERY helpful people. Ok tips to putting a computer in your car, hmm.... TAKE YOUR TIME, haha. If your planing to mold it into the center console like I did it takes alot of sanding and stuff to make it look good.

There are two ways to do hook up the audio, through the amp or you can go like I did through a head unit, all you need is to have a head unit with an Aux conection and a headphone to rca adapter. If you have any questions you can shoot them to me, I'm also on newtiburon.com as michaud_time. Good luck man.

THanks...I actually have been a member of new tiburon for a couple years now...my user name is GeekGirl

The computer that I am getting, I am getting from work for free, and has a smaller screen than most people install (5 1/2") but its touch screen. I thought i'd also install a USB hub to be accessable from the front as well. The biggest challenge for me will be forming the dash peice to look nice. I definetly want to take my time so it doesnt look ghetto.

Here is my baby if u havent seen it before

Where ever that is in NH it looks very familiar. I'm originally from the manchester area and I know live in Keene.

Intella: I use to live in Rochester, it's near Portsmouth, but now I'm stationed in SC.

Keebler: I'm not sure what there name is because they came with the car but there ALT's but there long gone I hit some wood in the road and broke two of them.....
