Howdy everyone. I've been gathering parts for my carputer for years now, patrolling these forums since the day they started soaking up the knowledge of others as they tried out their ideas. The only thing holding me back was the cost of a small LCD, which I finally just bit the bullet on and bought. With the LCD, I am able to move forward and get this thing in my car.

Here's what I have so far:

VIA M10000 with 256MB DDR running at 1GHz.
    BU-303 GPS module.
    TM-868 8" LCD/TouchScreen
6GB IDE drive I dug up from somewhere

So far, it's running a fresh install of WinXP Pro and iGuidance. I'm looking to find a PSU and a case for the hardware components so I can get it into the car. After I do that, I think I'm going to go for the Boost Mobile setup so I can do weather on the road.

    Pictures in an upcoming post...

I have a 40GB 2.5" waiting for an adapter to come in from Hong Kong. I've got a pretty crappy collection of music, so I don't think I'll need the extra space initially.

Your going to regret having to do a complete software reinstall when that adapter comes in. It's definitely a pain

            Update: Bought PSU

I just bought the M2-ATX power supply. Hopefully I will receive that this week and will be able to get things going.
