bought the screen today from mp3car.com store. should be in on friday. just in time for the weekend. as far as a computer still working on that but for now will be using a extra laptop.

Looks good, you worked fast for just starting, how did you know the specs for the monitor if you just ordered it?

looks like it may need a little more smoothing, one thing about bodywork, doesnt matter how much you sand, when you paint it you always find some imperfections, painted mine 3 times and i do bodywork for a living, much easier to do on the exterior of a car.

I really love the new dashes on ford trucks, they scream CarPc!

Have fun with the rest of the project

Looks good so far. Nice job of integrating it into the dash like that. It should look almost OEM.

It looks like it's molded around a Lili bezel? Must have bought just the bezel first?

your right damarble. got it from www.digitalww.com/lilliput_housing.htm

started fixing all the imperfections on it last night. i hope by this weekend when the screen comes in it will be finished. one of body shops that i sell to (work for a honda and acura dealer - parts dept.) is going to spray it for me when i am done sanding it.

well as far as the imperfevtions on the bezel..... i've sanded way too much im done for now. i just want to play now. after i build up the new car pc and get rid of the laptop. i will start on a new bezel and spend more time on it to get it perfect.

That is a great idea for a bezel. Great creativity and I will be watching this post for more updates. Way to go!!!

Hey, I think your pics link broke. I'd like to see what youve done. I'll have my work log started shortly (I hope).

Anyway you can fix your links? I'm thinking about getting an F150 and wanted to see some installs.

                    Thanks
