  • New ASUS Xonar D2 / D2K PCI & PCIe x1 sound cards

Well after reading this, my plans for MP945-VDR Mini PC went out the window since you cannot use the onboard PCIe in AOpen configuration. Might have to go little bigger and use center console again instead of dash with AOpen idid i345 DIY kit that just came out. It's about 6" wider and 2" deeper than Mini & I can use one of these instead of external's I was looking at!

    These cards are killer!

    118dB playback & 115dB recording signal-to-noise ratios
    24-bit/192 KHz playback/recording resolutions
0.000006% THD on all eight analog outputs/input, between 20Hz to 20 kHz
    EMI shield
    ASIO 2.0
    7.1-channel analog to digital
    Dolby Digital Live
    Dolby Pro Logic IIx
    Dolby Virtual Speaker
    Dolby Virtual Headphone
    Analog Devices audio DSP (Possible)

    Coming soon!

Looks like something similar to the Auzentech X-Meridian since it's using the same chipset. Cool. Down with Creative!
    System always under construction

give me that but based off a usb or firewire or even pcmia solution and i'm sold.

I can see something like this replacing the Chaintech AV710 for home theater usage if the pricepoint is right(Hard to beat the AV710, I know, I bought 3)
