Been a while since i been posting but the good news is my install is just about ready i now have the following choices to sort the sound out:

    1. Relocate my existing head unit to the glove box & use a cd changer emulator (car2pc)

    2. Ripping the head unit out and getting an amp.

which would you say is more less likeley to cause things like pops/thumps when the computer resumes from hibernation?

Ive read alot of install logs and found most people experience problems when they use amps for there installs, but im yet to see anyone who has used the original bmw head unit as part of there install.

    Thanks Guys/Gals
