  • What sound card should I go with for the best sound?

First I ruled out internal cards because of noise issues. So I narrowed it down to these three. I prefer not to have to power it other than usb.

Which one will give me the best SQ? Also I heard that with the fast track pro you can not control the volume through the pc? If you cant then I woulden't want it. Does the fast track have that problem too?

the components in the roland are alot better they build very nice stuff, the maudios are used for entry level stuff, again ive worked with them for a few years as the manager at a recording studio shop

yeah and truefully in a card audio situation your not going to hear a differance really most of you guys cant, ill swear by it, if your using cds maybe but i bet most people have low quality mp3s the sound cards are all VERY close to teh same preformance, the specs... are almost bullsh$t really its like a number just to get you to buy it, as the freq gets in the REAL low and REAL high spectrums youll get more distortion on cheaper cards

lets say maudio claims 22hz the distortion rate for their product is alot higher at taht level

than the roland only says 44hz but the distortion rate is the same from 44 to 20k

id go with quality and more stable distortion rate cause the roland will still produce the low sound fyi

        just my 2cents
